amazing art journey feild trip 3/7/08

when i first found out i was going to be driven to place i did not know the name of, i was a little scared and sceptical. When i had arrived at the site, i saw this big mountain made of adobe, and had paintings all over it, which involved love and religion and that sort of thing. This beautiful mountain was created by a sweet elderly man who does nothing but dedicate himself to this mountain. This old man collects donations from visitors which he lives off of, and does nothing but paint and make adobe, which i found myself participating in. At first i was a little upset because while working i had gotten my nice jeans along with my nice kicks really dirty. But then i thought to myself, if this old man barely has food, and can sacrifice getting dirty, i can sacrifice a pair of shoes and jeans to help him. Overall the experience was a good one, and i would recommened visiting somewhere in El Centro California if i were you to encounter this man.
